Invited competition for a school complex extension | 2009

Client:  SABAG Baumanagement / Schulzentrum Saalfelden

Responsibilities: Developed schematic design and visualization

The Goal of this project is to extend and unite the existing, dismembered school complex into a compact ensemble. The crystalline structure –that refers to the rocky mountains surrounding Saalfelden-pushes through the narrow gap between the 2 existing buildings and it connects them.  Its steel frame structure covered with opaque glass panels and aluminum sheets dissolves the orthogonal grid of the existing school building. The triangulation of the steel structure changes its scale according to the program.
